Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The information we collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the our website. When you place an order or contact us we collect the following information (as appropriate):
We also keep information about your previous orders (as part of our business records) as we are required to by HMRC and Customs & Excise.
We do not collect or have access to any credit or debit card details you enter as a result of buying on our website - you enter this information directly onto PayPal's secure payment systems and they are responsible for storing and processing it under their own privacy policies.
Our website uses non-personal cookies in a purely functional way so it knows where you are on our website and to keep track of what you have in your cart. It has to have this information or you wouldn't be able to use our website - for example, you wouldn't be able to add items to your cart because the shop wouldn't know which user they belonged to; you wouldn't be able to click 'Back' because our website wouldn't know which page you'd last been on.
These cookies simply connect your (current, at that moment) IP address with a randomly generated number called a 'session ID', and that session ID is used to identify each user as they click on different pages of our website. Our website does not know who you are (nor does it care) until you login, then anything in your temporary (session ID) cart is transferred into your logged-in cart. Your session_id then identifies you by name to our website. That is all the cookies on our website do.
These cookies do not track you outside of our website and are not linked to any outside company in any way for tracking or advertising (or any other) purposes - we hate that too - they are purely so our website knows what page you're on and what (if anything) you've added to cart.
These cookies expire automatically after a few weeks, and only last that long as a convenience for you in case you've added some items to cart then come back later - your items will still be in the cart. When these cookies expire they will be automatically deleted by your browser. Should you return to our website after that time, your cart would be empty. You can also delete them yourself in your browser at any time.
The way we use information:
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to fulfill that order. We do not share or disclose this information with/to outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. In practice that means we give your details (name, address, email address, phone number and the details of your purchase) to the payment processor (PayPal) who processes your payment and your name and address to the delivery company that delivers your order.
We use your email address to reply to your questions and to keep you updated on the status of your order. If you have given us permission for us to send you a newsletter, we would also use your email address for that purpose. Your email address is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with, or disclosed to, outside parties in any other way for any other purpose other than as described above.
We keep details of customer orders (as part of our business records) for a period of 6 years as we are required to by HMRC and Customs & Excise.
Our commitment to data security:
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate industry-standard procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
All pages on our website are encrypted using industry-standard 2048-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology provided by Comodo - you will notice the 'padlock' symbol appear in your browser.
How you can access or correct your information:
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we have collected online (and details of your previous orders) by clicking on the 'My account' tab on the menu above and logging in. We hold no other information than that. If any information is incorrect please let us know and we will correct it. We will delete your account at any time on your request, but please bear in mind we must still keep paper details of your orders to comply with the record keeping requirements of HMRC and Customs & Excise.
